Fyller du i ögonbrynen? Är det en viktig del i din sminkrutin? Använder du penna eller skugga?
Mitt svar: Brynskugga är ett måste för mig, penna tycker jag ger ett på tok för hårt resultat. Jag började faktiskt inte fylla i mina bryn förrän för typ 3 år sedan, jag har alltid haft väldigt mörka bryn naturligt men när jag väl började fylla i dom så märkte jag vilken stor skillnad det gör, så nu för tiden så fyller jag alltid i brynen när jag sminkar mig, oavsett hur mycket annat smink jag bär. Framförallt så får det mina bryn att se fylligare ut, men dom får också en mer definierad form och liksom "ramar in" mitt ansikte.

I mostly fill them in to make them look fuller, but also give them a more defined shape and the fact that well shaped brows "frames" my face.

Tidningen Daisy Beauty
Igår var jag på släppfest för den nya tidningen Daisy Beauty som släpps i butik idag. Bakom tidningen står skönhetsportalen med samma namn med chefredaktör Kicki Norman i spetsen, och innehåller lika stora delar skönhet, mode och hälsa - alltsammans skrivet av kunniga personer som är enormt intresserade av just det dom skriver om.
Jag blev superglad när jag fick höra talas om Kickis planer för några månader sen, då jag tycker att en riktig skönhetstidning saknas på den svenska marknaden. Många tidningar skriver bara ett par, tre sidor om skönhet och har varken den där nästan nördiga kunskapen eller passionen i ryggen för att det ska bli så bra och lite till som man önskar att läsa om.
Släppfesten ägde rum på Restaurang Etthundraett i Stockholm, och vi var ett stort blandat gäng beståendes av både de som arbetat med tidningen och en hel drös med bloggare, som alla ville gratulera Kicki för den nya tidningen som faktiskt slagit mina höga förväntningar med råge. Det var en grymt trevlig tillställning med vin, mingel och massor av bekanta (och en del nya!) ansikten - mitt bordssällskap för kvällen bestod av bland annat Bella, Tina, Katta, Ellen och Karin och Des - tack alla som jag träffade där för en trevlig kväll!

Ellen var nyfiken på ett OPI-nagellack som hon fick låna av mig. Det finns nog inte många andra tillställningar där det känns helt rätt att sitta och lacka naglarna på en restaurang!

In English: Yesterday, I went to a release party of the new Swedish beauty magazine Daisy Beauty. I'm totally blown away by it, and I had a great evening with all of the lovely people who were attending!
OPI Step right up!
Vanligtvis är jag all about colour när det kommer till nagellack, så jag är väldigt förvånad över att lack efter lack ur OPI's soft shades-kollektion Femme de Cirque, som landar i svensk butik i maj, faller mig töntigt mycket i smaken trots att dom är väldigt diskreta och neutrala.
Step right up! är ett skirt off-white krämlack med kalla rosa undertoner. Riktigt kritvitt brukar vara lite svårburet och inte helt lätt att få snyggt på naglarna. Step right up! är inte helt opakt utan släpper igenom lite av den egna nagelfärgen (jag bär tre lager på bilderna), och färgen jämnar ut sig fint på nageln utan att att bli flammigt. Dessutom är det helt galet glansigt, på bilderna bär jag inget topplack alls. Väldigt snyggt, feminint och vårigt!
In English: Usually, I'm all about colour when it comes to nail polish, so I'm very surprised that polish after polish from the OPI soft shades collection Femme de Cirque, which is available in april/may, are really growing on me despite the fact that they're very discrete and natural.
Step right up! is a sheer off-white creme with cool pink undertones. Stark white polishes are usually a bit hard to wear and aren't that easy to get to look nice on the nails. Step right up! isn't completely opaque but lets a bit of the own nail colour shine through (I'm wearing three coats in the pictures), and the colour evens out nicely on the nail without being patchy at all. Plus, it's insanely glossy, I'm wearing it without a top coat in the pictures. Very classy, feminine and great for spring!

Pressvisning: Dr. Hauschka
Igår var jag på presentation av det ekologiska hudvårdsmärket Dr. Hauschka i samband med lanseringen av vårens makeupkollektion Lavender Dreams. Det var inte någon traditionell visning med presentation i en lokal, utan vi bjöds istället hem till Dominika Peczynski där produkterna stod uppdukade på bord och vi fick klämma, känna och få tips och råd från Dr. Hauschkas makeupartister och hudterapeuter.

Dr. Hauschka grundades i Tyskland år 1935 och tillverkade från början naturläkemedel. Hudvård började märket att tillverka år 1967, och produkterna innehåller enbart naturliga ingredienser och testas inte på djur. Filosofin bakom hudvårdsprodukterna är att de ska innehålla utvalda ingredienser som hjälper huden att hjälpa sig själv på naturlig väg. Eftersom produkterna är fria från konserveringsmedel förpackas dom (allra flesta) antingen i metalltuber eller i pumpflaskor för att hålla sig fräscha så länge som möjligt.
Makeuplinjen lanserades 1999 och är tänkt som en förlängning av hudvårdsserien och innehåller hudvårdande örter och växter. Vårens kollektion går i trendigt lila, precis som vi har sett hos många andra märken nu i vår, och innehåller en ögonskuggspalett (298 kr), ett sculpting/highlightingpuder (298 kr), ett läppglans (147 kr) och en duo-ögonpenna (166 kr).

Jag har aldrig testat Dr. Hauschka förut och är väldigt mycket nybörjare inom området ekologisk hudvård, så det var väldigt kul och intressant att få kika lite närmare på sortimentet som innehåller över 100 produkter. Jag återkommer med lite recensioner framöver!

In English: Yesterday, I went to a presentation of the organic skin care brand Dr. Hauschka as they presented their new makeup collection Lavender Dreams. There was no traditional presentation, but instead we were invited to a home party at Dominika Peczynski's where the products were placed at tables and we got to try them out and get tips and advice from Dr. Hauschka's makeup artists and skin therapists.
Dr. Hauschka was founded in Germany in 1935 and was originally a natural medicine brand. They launched their skincare branch in 1967, and the products contain 100% natural ingredients and have not been tested on animals. The philosophy beihind the skincare products is that they contain selected ingredients that helps the skin to help itself in a natural way. Since the products are free from preservatives, most of them are packed in metal tubes or pump bottles to help them keep fresh as long as possible,
The makeup line was launched in 1999 and is supposed to be an extension of the skincare and contains nourishing herbs and plants. The spring collection theme is trendy purple, as we have seen at many other brands this spring, and contains a makeup palette, a sculpting/highlighting powder, a lipgloss and an duo eye kohl.
I've never tried Dr. Hauschka before and I'm a noob in the organic skincare area, so it was very interesting and fun to have a closer look at the range which contains over 100 products. I'll be back with some reviews in the nearest future!

L'oréal color riche lipstick - Intense fuchsia
Mina knallrosa läppstift har fått ligga och vila hela vintern, men nu när det äntligen börjar bli vår så får stift efter stift komma fram och leka igen. Intense fuchsia från L'oréal är så färgstarkt att kameran nästan inte ville fokusera på det på mina läppar(!) - snacka om attackrosa!
Jag gillar formulan på L'oréals color riche lipstick, dom är härligt krämiga, färgstarka och glider på som en dröm på läpparna. Däremot så är jag inte så jätteförtjust i den ganska starka doften som jag tycker luktar parfym blandat med teatersmink...

In English: Before the first rays of the summer sun hits our winter pale cheeks and noses, it can be nice to fake the bake with a bronzer. This spring, MAC launches 5 different bronzers, some are old favourites and others are new additions to the permanent product range.
The bronzing powder Refined golden is one of my favourite bronzers, my copy has got the fancy Style Warriors packaging from summer 2009. Lustre drops are a nice product aswell, gorgeous as a highlighter on tanned skin!

Deborah Bronzing powder
I vår lanserar italienska drugstoremärket Deborah sina bronzingpuder i ny version. Pudren finns i fyra nyanser, två mer rosatonade (nr 1 och 3) och två mer gultonade (nr 2 och 4), och förutom att förpackningen har uppdaterats har man även tillsatt en ny aktiv ingrediens - "jewel powder" - som är en blandning av välgörande mineraler från ametist, pärlemor, bärnsten och korall.

Jag gillar variationen i färgutbudet, i princip alla kan hitta en färg som passar oavsett om man är ljus eller lite mörkare och om har rosa eller gula undertoner i huden. Pudret är väldigt finmalet och silkesmjukt och är lätt att applicera, och det ger en satin-finish på huden som varken är helt matt eller innehåller något skimmer. Däremot är de ganska starkt parfymerade, så har du känslig hy eller ogillar parfymerade produkter ska du nog se upp med dessa.
Bronzingpudren kostar 99 kr/st och finns ute i butik nu.

China Glaze Hey Sailor
Det finns nog ingen mer klassisk färg på nagellack än rött, och det finns nog heller ingen lacknyans som finns representerad i så många olika variationer. Jag äger ett 15-tal röda lack i olika nyans och finish, och dom allra flesta är faktiskt inte likt något annat i samlingen.
Ljust tomatröda krämlacket Hey Sailor från China Glaze är ett av de som sticker ut mest ur mängden av de röda jag äger. Det är ljusare än den klassiskt röda nagellacksnyansen, och drar varken mot orange eller rosa. Jag blir glad av den här färgen, jag tror det kommer vara extra snyggt i sommar när fingrarna har fått lite färg! Det är dessutom extremt välpigmenterat och lätt att lacka med, färgen täcker i ett lager och flyter ut fint över nageln, jag valde däremot att lacka två lager för att få en jämn yta och lite mer tryck i färgen.
In English: There's probably no shade that's more classic to wear on the nails as red, and there probably ain't no other polish shade that's available in such many different varieties. I own about 15 reds in different shades and finishes, and most of them are acctually very different from each other.
Light tomato creme Hey Sailor from China Glaze is one of the ones that stands out most from the rest of the croud of my reds. It's lighter than the classic red polish shade, and neither leans towards orange or pink. This shade makes me happy, I think it will look extra gorgeous during summer when my fingers have got a bit tanned! It's also extremely well pigmented and easy to work with, the colour is opaque in one coat and flows nicely onto the nail, I did choose to do two coats though to get an even surface and a bit more intensity in colour.

Lackjätten OPI gör inte bara produkter för naglar och händer, utan även krämer för kropp och fötter. En av kroppskrämerna heter Avojuice body creme och finns i tre olika dofter, däribland Mango.

Mango body creme innehåller bland annat ingredienser som sheasmör, avokado och vitamin E, vilket gör den till en riktig fuktbomb. Krämen känns ganska fet men sjunker snabbt in i huden och kan användas på både händer, fötter och resten av kroppen. Jag tycker däremot att den nästan doftar mer som persika än mango, vilket å andra sidan är en av mina favoritdofter så det gör inte så mycket för min del, snarare tvärt om.
Min hud känns väldigt mjuk, lugn och återfuktad när jag har använt den här krämen, och tuben är en bra storlek att ta med sig - synd att den inte innehåller 100 ml istället för 120, för då hade den varit en superbra resekompis även när man flyger. Krämen finns även i dofterna Coconut lime och Ginger lily, som även dom doftar helt fantastiskt gott!

I do think that it smells more like peach than mango though, which on the other hand is one of my favourite scents so I really don't mind.
My skin feels really soft, calmed and moisturised when I've used this creme, and the tube is a nice size to take with you when you travel - it's a shame though that it contains 120 ml instead of 100 ml, because then it would have been a great travel companion when flying aswell. The creme is also available in the scents Coconut lime and Ginger lily, which also smells divine!

Idag var jag sugen på en skir sminkning i lila, så jag tog fram min Beauties play it cool-palett från 2010 års julkollektion från MAC, A Tartan Tale. Vid skira ögonsminkningar där mörka färger är inblandade är det flera tunna lager som gäller för att få till en snygg toning som inte blir för skarp.

In English: Today, I felt like a sheer purple makeup, so I took out my Beauties play it cool-palette from the 2010 MAC holiday collection, A Tartan Tale. When doing sheer eyemakeup with darker colours, you need to work in several thin layers to get a nice gradient that's not too sharp.
Shadow placement: Silverwear on the lid, Altered state in the crease and along the lower lash line. Magic moor in the outer v, Dazzlelight as a highlighter on the brow bone and in the inner corner of the eye.

I juggle...Men från OPIs kommande brudkollektion Femme de cirque är ett genomskinligt lack med små, små skimmerpartiklar som flashar blått eller rosa, beroende på vilket håll ljuset faller på dom. På egen hand ger det ett diskret skimmer till naglarna som i princip bara syns i direkt solljus, ovanpå ett mörkt krämlack kommer det verkligen till liv! Jag har lackat två lager I juggle...Men ovanpå det svarta krämlacket Liquid Leather från China Glaze. Som små miniatyrgalaxer på mina naglar!

In English: I juggle...Men from the upcoming bridal collection from OPI, Femme de cirque, is a clear polish with teeny tiny shimmer particles that flashes blue or pink, depending on how the light hits them. On it's own, it gives a discrete shimmer to the nails that's basically only visible in direct sunlight, on top of a dark creme, it really comes to life! I added two coats of I juggle...Men on top of the black creme Liquid Leather from China Glaze. It's like tiny galaxies on each of my nails!

Impassioned
Impassioned från MAC är nog det knalligaste rosa läppstiftet jag äger, det är på gränsen till neonrosa. Väldigt väldigt färgstarkt och helt galet snyggt, speciellt när man har fått lite sol på kinderna! Är man fortfarande vinterblek som jag så värmer en ljus bronzer med rosa undertoner upp.

In English: Impassioned from MAC is probably the brightest pink lipstick I own, it's on the border to neon pink. Very very bright and crazily gorgeous, especially for spring and summer! If you're still winter pale like me, a light bronzer with pink undertones warms up the cheeks.

Jag är superförtjust i alla sju, jag älskar pastellack och dom här har lite dammigare undertoner än vad vi är vana att se, och därmed väldigt lättburna. Krackel-lacket Silver shatter är väldigt grovkornigt och har en metallicfinish, till skillnad från de tidigare krackel-lack vi har sett från andra märken som överlag har fokuserat på krackel-lack i krämfinish. Krämlacken har väldigt bra formula och är väldigt pigmenterade, och jag har faktiskt inte hittat några dupes för några av lacken jag har i min samling - den här kollektionen är väl värd att spana in!

This is a scent that I think especially will attract a younger croud, both the bottle and the scent itself since it's both sweet, fruity and flowery all at once. I like it and I love to wear it those days when I'm craving something sweet!

Det här är nog det tjejigaste jag någonsin har burit på naglarna, jag gillar't! Teenage dream från OPIs Katy Perry-kollektion är ett virrvarr av små skimmerpartiklar i silver och rosa och större holografiska glitterpartiklar i en skir babyrosa bas. Jag har lagt det ovanpå ett dammrosa krämlack - Dusty rose från Scratch nails - för att få basfärgen helt täckande, eftersom Teenage dream inte blir täckande på egen hand.
Jag lackade två lager av Dusty rose, toppade sedan med tre lager av Teenage dream och avslutade med två lager snabbtorkande överlack, Seche vite, för att jämna ut strukturen. Det kommer bli en mardröm att ta bort, men det är det värt!

I've applied it on top of a dusty pink creme - Dusty rose from Scratch nails - to get the base colour entirely opaque, since Teenage dream isn't opaque on it's own.
I did two coats of Dusty rose, topped with three coats of Teenage dream and finished with two coats of fast dry top coat, Seche vite, to even out the structure. It will be a nightmare to remove, but it's totally worth it!

In English: The OPI summer collection for 2011 has been developed in collaboration with Disney for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie On stranger tides which premieres on May 20th. Six pastel cremes and a silver shatter polish are being launched with suiting names such as "Skull & Glossbones", "Planks a lot!" and "Stranger tides".
I love pastels, these seem to be very soft and wearable shades for both spring and summer. I'm most curious about the light grey-green Stranger tides! The collection will be available internationally at the end of May, I will be back with swatches shortly!

Steg 1: Lägg en ögonskuggeprimer över hela locket, från frans till bryn, jag har använt Urban Decays Eyeshadow primer potion. Applicera ett tjockt lager löspuder under ögat för fånga upp nedfall när du applicerar ögonskuggan.
Step 1: Apply an eyeshadow primer on the entire lid, from lash to brow, I've used Urban Decay's Eyeshadow primer potion. Apply a thick layer of loose powder under your eye to catch fallout from when applying the eyeshadow.
Steg 2: Pressa på en ljus mintgrön ögonskugga på hela det rörliga locket med en platt ögonskuggspensel. Svep inte på skuggan, då får du onödigt mycket nedfall och förlorar mycket av skuggans intensitet. Jag har använt ögonskuggan Aquavert och pensel #239 från MAC.
Step 2: Press on a silver metallic eyeshadow on the lid with a flat eyeshadow brush. Don't sweep it on, it will create excess fallout and you will loose colour intensity. I've used the eyeshadow Aquavert and brush #239 from MAC.
Steg 3: Svep på en skimrig champagnefärgad highlighterskugga på brynbenet med en fluffig pensel. Jag har använt ögonskuggan 220 från L'oréal studio secrets och pensel #217 från MAC.
Step 3: Sweep a shimmery champagne highlighter eyeshadow onto the brow bone with a fluffy brush. I've used the eyeshadow 220 from L'oréal studio secrets and brush #217 from MAC.
Steg 4: Arbeta in en kalltonad mellangrön ögonskugga i en rund, fluffig pensel och svep på den längs globlinjen för att definiera och tona skarven mellan lockskuggan och highlightern. Jag har använt den gröna ögonskuggan ur Stilas all doll'd up-palett och pensel #224 från MAC.
Step 4: Work a cool medium green eyeshadow into a rounded, fluffy brush and sweep it on along the crease to define and blend the border between the lid and highlighter. I've used the green eyeshadow from the Stila all doll'd up palette and brush #224 from MAC.
Steg 5: För att definiera ögats form ytterligare och få lite mer färgintensitet, lägg en knalligt gräsgrön ögonskugga i det yttre v:et med samma pensel du använde för att lägga på den mellangröna skuggan. Jag har använt ögonskuggan Sassy grass från MAC.
Step 5: To further define the shape of the eye and get more colour intensity, apply a bright grass green eyeshadow in the outer v with the same brush as you used for applying the medium green eyeshadow. I've used the eyeshadow Sassy grass from MAC.
Steg 6: Borsta bort löspudret under ögat. Lägg highlightern du la på brynbenet i ögats inre vrå. Jag har använt pensel #222 från MAC till detta. Blanda de två mörkare gröna skuggorna med varandra och lägg längs nedre fransraden med en platt, stubbig pensel. Jag använde pensel #214 från MAC.
Step 6: Brush off the loose powder you applied under the eye. Apply the highlighter you used on the brow bone in the inner corner of the eye. I've used brush #222 from MAC for this. Blend the two darker greens with each other and apply along the lower lash line with a flat, stubby brush. I've used brush #214 from MAC.
Steg 7: Fyll i ögonbrynen och måla en eyelinervinge med svart eyeliner längs övre fransraden. Brynen har jag fyllt i med ögonskuggan Concrete och pensel #208 från MAC, och eyelinern har jag målat med MAC chromaline i färgen Black black och MAC #208.

Vissa nyanser av brunt får mina ögon att se galet gröna ut - både de som innehåller en gnutta rött (som är motsatsfärgen till grönt), men förvånande nog även bruna toner som är uppblandade med lite grönt!

OPI Suzi loves cowboys
Jag passar på att lacka naglarna i mörka färger medan jag väntar på att dom växer ut - för mörka lack är faktiskt helt klart snyggast på korta naglar om man frågar mig! Suzi loves cowboys är ett kalltonat mörkbrunt krämlack ur OPIs vårkollektion Texas. Jag tycker att det ser ut som smält mörk choklad på naglarna, det ger ett lite mjukare intryck än ett svart lack men är ändå mörkt och och blir en snygg kontrast mot mina vinterbleka tassar. Tre lager krävdes för full täckning.
In English: I'm taking the opportunity to paint my nails in dark shades while I wait for them to grow back out - because dark polishes look their best on short nails if you ask me! Suzi loves cowboys is a cool dark brown creme from the OPI spring collection Texas. I think it looks like melted dark chocolate on the nails, it gives a softer impression than if you wear black, but it's still dark and gives a nice contrast against my winter pale paws. I needed three coats for full coverage.

Ibland får man möjlighet att testa riktigt lyxiga produkter som man kanske inte skulle direkt impulsköpt själv. Dyrt behöver inte alltid betyda bra, men ibland lever kvaliteten verkligen upp till varenda liten krona.

Mascaran Diorshow 360 från Dior (som är en uppdaterad version av bästsäljaren Diorshow) lanserades runt årsskiftet och är en volym-och längdmascara i ett med en roterande borste för att täcka och böja varenda liten frans. Borsten kan rotera åt båda håll, vilket justeras med en ratt på själva korken, så att du kan använda den på både de undre och övre fransarna, oavsett om du är högerhänt eller vänsterhänt.

När man väl har fått in tekniken däremot blir resultatet fruktansvärt snyggt - många, långa, separerade, klumpfria, mjuka och böjda fransar med massor med volym - jag kan ärligt talat inte önska mig något mer från en mascara.

Hade det inte varit för det minst sagt saftiga priset hade jag inte tvekat att köpa den här igen, men det känns inte värt att lägga 400 kr på en produkt som man ändå måste slänga inom 3-6 månader. Jag kommer passa på att köpa den här mascaran utomlands och i taxfreen, för den är minst sagt GRYM!

The mascara Diorshow 360 from Dior (which is an updated version of the bestselling Diorshow) was launched during late 2010 and is a volume and length mascara in one with a rotating wand to cover every single lash and pump up the curl. The wand rotates in both directions, which can be adjusted with a switch on the cork, so you can use it on both upper and lower lashes, no matter if you're left-handed or right-handed.
The mascara tube has got a luxurious weight in the hand, which the motor and battery in the cork probably helps with. The wand is a double helix one, and the mascara itself is pitch black and nourishes and shapes the lashes with its wax formula.
It's a bit tricky to learn how to use this mascara - firstly, you have to figure out which way you want the brush to rotate (downwards on the lower lashes and upwards on the upper lashes, and you have to keep the wand quite still and let it do its job and not start to zig-zag, because then you will get too much mascara on the lashes which will make the clump. Once you've got the right technique, though, the result is bloody gorgeous - long, many, separated, clump-free, soft and curled lashes with lots of volume - I can honestly not wish more from a mascara.
If it hadn't been for the quite hefty price, I wouldn't have doubted to buy this again, but I really don't feel like splurging 400 SEK (about $60) on a product that I will have to toss in 3-6 months. I will buy this mascara when I'm travelling abroad and can get it cheaper, because it ROCKS!

Jag har faktiskt ett av de här rougen sedan tidigare, kallt ljusrosa So Sweet, So Easy, från när de släpptes i LE-utgåva med kollektionen In Lillyland i början av 2010. Rougen är ganska skira och ger lite av en glowig finish när det väl har torkat på plats, snyggast tycker jag absolut att dom är att använda ihop med en väldigt lätt bas (typ en tinted moisturiser) då dom är ganska skira och smälter in väldigt bra i den egna huden.

In English: The fifth and last MAC collection for march that launched here in Sweden yesterday is called Cremeblend blush and is an addition to the permanent product range. Six creme blushes are being launched initially, and are meant to replace the old Blushcreme formula.
I acctually have one of these blushes since before, cool light pink So Sweet, So Easy, from when it was released with the collection In Lillyland in early 2010. The blushes are pretty sheer and dries into a glowy finish, I think they look their best on top of a light base (like a tinted moisturiser) since they are pretty sheer and blends nicely into the own skin.

China Glaze First mate
First mate heter det här kungsblå lacket med dammig underton från China Glazes vårkollektion Anchors Away. Jag är inte speciellt stolt över själva lackjobbet - jag lackade naglarna i halvmörker efter två glas vin - men bilderna visar i alla fall färgen bra. Det här lacket har en väldigt bra formula, flyter ut fint över nageln och täcker i två lager. Väldigt tjusigt och väldigt bärbart för att vara blått!
In English: First mate is the name of this royal blue polish with a dusty undertone from the China Glaze spring collection Anchors Away. I'm not too proud of the polish job - I did my nails in semi-dark after two glasses of wine - but the pictures at least shows the colour nicely. This polish has got a great formula, spreads nicely onto the nail and is opaque in two coats. Very fancy and very wearable for being a blue!

Pink Cult ser inte ut att vara så mycket för världen i dosan, men när det kommer på huden ger det ett fräscht nyponrosintryck på mina vinterbleka kinder. Mighty Aphrodite har ett fint diskret skimmer/glow, och man kan välja själv hur mycket färg man vill ha genom att blanda de två olika nyanserna - den ljusa sidan är mer som en skir highlighter, medan den mörka sidan är galet pigmenterad.

Idag landar MAC-kollektionen Wonder Woman i de svenska MAC-diskarna, och ett av läppstiften som släpps är det lilarosa Spitfire. Det är murrigt och bärigt, och går att variera i styrka genom att dutta på det på läpparna och sen jämna ut det med ett finger om man vill ha en lite mer lätt "tintad" look.
Förutom att jag är superförtjust i färgen så älskar jag också förpackningen! Både ytterkartong och plasthylsa är härligt kitschiga i sann superhjälteanda.

It's a muted berry shade, which you can vary in opacity by dabbing it on the lips and then even it out with a finger if you want a bit more of a stained look.
In addition to that the shade is gorgeous, I really love the packaging! Both the box and the casing is lovely kitschy in a true super hero maner.
10 steg till snyggare naglar
1. Fila naglarna med jämna mellanrum. Använd en fin fil och fila till formen 1-2 gånger i veckan för att förhindra att nageln spricker eller skivar sig. En fin fil med högt "grit"-tal förseglar nagelkanten och är dessutom lätt att underhålla nagelformen med då den inte tar speciellt mycket på längden.
2. Använd nagelolja.
Precis som huden så behöver nageln fukt för att behålla sin naturliga spänst och elasticitet. En nagelolja håller dessutom dina nagelband återfuktade. Skillnaden mellan en nagelolja och t.ex. en matolja är att nageloljan har mindre molekyler och tränger därmed lättare ner i nagelns undre skikt. En nagelolja mättar också törstiga, torra nagelbäddar vilket motverkar att nageln missfärgas av lack.

Använd inte den grövsta delen på polerfilen oftare än 2-3 gånger per år, då riskerar du att försvaga nageln, de två finaste sidorna kan du däremot använda ungefär en gång per vecka.
4. Lär dig lacka som ett proffs. Lacka med så få penseldrag som möjligt, kletar du runt för mycket blir det sällan bra och lacket kommer ta längre tid på sig att torka. Blir det ojämnt så fixa hellre till det med ett extra lager istället. Optimalt är tre penseldrag per lager lack: ett i mitten, och sedan ett drag på vardera sida. För att undvika kladd på nagelbanden, placera penseln mitt på nageln och skjut den uppåt tills du har ½-1 mm mellanrum mellan nagelband och lack, och dra sedan penseln mot nageltippen. Lack på nagelbanden ser bara inte kladdigt ut, det får även lacket att chippa fortare.
5. Använd alltid underlack och överlack. Underlacket fungerar som ett klister för ditt färgade lack, och skyddar nageln mot missfärgningar. Ett överlack ger glans och skyddar dessutom ditt färgade lack mot repor, då överlack är mer stöttåligt än färgat lack då det inte innehåller några färgpigment.

8. Bit inte. Förutom att du i slutändan får små stumpar till nagelbädd så är det väldigt ohygieniskt. Tänk på allt du tar i under dagens gång - pengar, dörrhandtag, stången på tunnelbanan - händerna är en riktig bakteriehärd, och bakterierna fäster ännu bättre i trasiga nagelband och spruckna naglar.

10. Våga annorlunda färger. Rött och rosa är klassiker som fungerar i alla lägen, men annorlunda färger som grönt, lila, blått, gult, orange och brunt är snyggare och mer bärbart än vad man kan tro! Börja med ett krämlack om annorlunda färger skrämmer dig, det är oftast mer bärbart än ett skimrigt.
In English: 10 steps to prettier nails
1. File your nails regularly. Use a fine grit file and shape your nails 1-2 times a week to prevent the nail from craking or peeling. A fine file with a high grit number seals the nail edge and is also easier to use for maintaining your nail shape with since it doesn't take too much length off.
2. Use a nail oil. Just like the skin, the nail needs moisture to keep its natural flexibility and elasticy. A nail oil will also keep your cuticles moisturised. The difference between a nail oil and a regular food oil is that the nail oil contains smaller molecules and therefore penetrates the lower layers of the nail. A nail oil will also saturate thirsty and dry nail beds which prevents staining from polishes.
3. Buff (but not too often). Buffing will not only make your nails look better, your polish will also stay put longer on an even nail surface than on an uneven one. Don't use the roughest part of your buffer file more than 2-3 times a year, because then you will weaken your nails, but you can use the two finer sides about once a week.
4. Learn to polish your nails like a pro. Polish with as few brush strokes as possible, if you goop around too much it won't look good, plus the polish will take a longer time to dry. If it's uneven, it's better to correct it with an extra coat of polish. 3 is the optimal ammount of brush strokes: one in the middle, and then a stroke on each side of the first. To avoid painting your cuticles, place the brush in the middle of the nail and push it upwards until you have ½-1 mm space between the cuticle and polish, and then stroke the brush towards the nail tip. Polish on your cuticles doesn't only look sloppy, it also makes the polish chip faster.
5. Always use a base coat and a top coat. The base coat works like a glue for your coloured polish and protects your nails from staining. A top coat provides shine and protects your coloured polish against scratches, since a top coat is harder than coloured polish since it doesn't contain any pigment.
6. Fast dry products is the shit. There's nothing as boring as polishing your nails and then wait forever for it to dry. Sometimes it takes several hours, and some polishes won't dry completely on their own. Fast drying products makes your polish surface dry in about a minute, and dries all coats from top to bottom in 20-30 minutes. They're available in different formulas, such as drops, sprays and fast dry top coats.
7. Use the right kind of remover. Choose a remover without acetone, and preferrably without oils. Acetone is a very strong solvent and dries both your nails and skin unnecessarily much. With a remover that contains oils, there is a risk that the oil will create a coat on top of the solvent before it has evaporated and encapsulates it against the nail, which both dries and can stain your nails.
8. Don't bite. Besides it will eventually turn your nails in to small stumps, it's very unhygienic. Think of all things you touch during the day - money, door knobs, bars on the subway - the hands are real bacteria paradise, and they will stick even better to chapped cuticles and broken nails.
9. Don't scrape under your nails. Sharp objects will create a ridge under your nail, which makes the dirt collect even more. Brush your nails clean with a nail brush instead!
10. Dare to wear colour. Red and pink are classics that will work on all occasions, but bolder shades like green, purple, blue, yellow, orange and brown are more wearable and prettier than you would think! Start with a creme finish polish if colours scare you, they're often more wearable than a shimmery one.

Mitt svar: Det varierar lite från årstid till årstid - på hösten och julen älskar jag skimmerlack och glitterlack, medan jag hellre sträcker mig efter krämlack på våren och sommaren. Vilket egentligen är rätt kasst när det kommer till fotografering av lacken, för skimmerlack och glitterlack gör sig definitivt bäst i solljus vilket det inte är så gott om på hösten och vintern...

Hur läcker är inte den här spegeln med inbyggda lampor i fräsig rosa leopardkostym? Spegeln, som finns att klicka hem i flera olika designer från Les Tai Tai för £19, heter Model Mirror och är en ny bästa kompis i min resesminkväska.
För att man inte ska lysa sig själv i ögonen när man använder den innehåller den två speglar - en vanlig i botten, och en förstoringsspegel i locket. LED-lamporna tänder/släcker du genom att klicka på en knapp på ena sidan, och dom ger ett bra och jämnt ljus över hela ansiktet. Höljet är i plast men har en schysst tyngd i handen som gör att den inte känns billig. Dock hade jag önskat att gångjärnet var av lite bättre kvalitet, man hör friktionen mellan plastdelarna när man öppnar och stänger spegeln vilket irriterar mig något enormt...

The LED lights switch on and off by clicking a button on the right side, and they give a nice and even light over the entire face. The case is made out of plastic, but it has got a nice weight in your hand which saves it from feeling cheap. I would have wished that the hinges were of a bit better quality though, you can hear the friction of the plastic parts when you open and close the mirror which annoys me quite a bit...

Nfu Oh #52
Älskar älskar älskar flakelack. Dom ser ut som små juveler på naglarna och har ofta ett helt fantastiskt djup, och allra vackrast bland flake-lacken är de från koreanska Nfu Oh.
#52 har en blå bas med lila underton med flakes som skimrar i turkost och grönt. Som de flesta andra flake-lack så är inte formulan helt hundra - den är ganska tjock, seg och svår att få att flyta ut över nageln - men resultatet blir så sjukt fint att det är väl värt besväret. För att flakesen ska synas genom basfärgen betyder det att basfärgen är väldigt skir och man behöver lacka ganska många lager, med #52 krävdes det fyra. Med ett sånt här lack är ett snabbtorkande överlack definitivt din bästa vän. Jag har svårt att sluta stirra på mina naglar, det här lacket är sjukt fint!
In English: I love love love flake polishes. They look like little jems on the nails and often have a fantastic depth, and the most pretty among the flake polishes are the ones from Korean brand Nfu Oh.
#52 has got a blue base with purple undertones with flakes that flashes turquoise and green. As with most other flake polishes, the formula isn't top notch - it's pretty thick, goopy and doesn't spread that nicely onto the nail - but the result is so stunning that it's well worth the trouble. For the flakes to show through the base colour, the base needs to be very sheer and you need to do quite many layers, I needed 4 coats with #52. With a polish like this, a fast drying top coat is your best friend. I have a hard time stop staring at my nails, this polish is gorgeous!
Lashes... Lots and lots of lashes!
I förra veckan damp det ner ett paket i min brevlåda från Hong Kong-baserade KKCenterhk, som bland annat har en enorm mängd lösögonfransar i sitt sortiment, i både singelpack och storpack, i alla möjliga olika sorters utföranden. De tre förpackningar som låg i mitt paket var alla storpack med 10 par fransar i varje från märket ES.

Storpacken med fransar från ES kostar mellan $3.64 och $10.94, beroende på typ av fransar, vilket blir i runda slängar 2,50 - 7,50 kr paret. Töntigt billigt! Fransarna håller dessutom faktiskt riktigt bra kvalitet för sitt låga pris, man behöver däremot böja till dom själv litegrann för att passa ögonformen innan man använder dom. Det lär ta lång tid innan jag hinner använda upp en sån här låda eftersom ett par lösfransar kan återanvändas flera gånger så länge man är försiktig och tar bort limrester mellan användningar.
Själva sidan är lite seg dock, så man får ha lite tålamod när man bläddrar bland produkterna, men servicen är utmärkt och utbudet är enormt - hittar du inte fransarna du letar efter här lär du inte hitta dom någonstans!
