Häromdagen hade jag en liten mini-omröstning på Puritys facebooksida om vilket lack jag skulle lacka naglarna med näst. Åsikterna var dock delade (smaken är som baken!), så det gjorde mig inte direkt klokare, så jag högg ett av de fyra jag valde mellan på måfå - Ingrid från China Glazes höstkollektion Vintage Vixen.

Ingrid är ett medelmörkt taupefärgat (gråbrunt) lack som vid en första anblick ser ganska ordinärt ut. Vid en närmare titt, däremot, ser man att det är fullspäckat med små, små diskreta guldskimmerpartiklar vilket ger det lite extra liv och får det att skilja sig ur mängden av taupefärgade krämlack. Jättefint, jag älskar lerfärgade lack hur oglammigt det än må låta! Jag äger fyra hittills och fler lär det nog bli =)

Ingrid var väldigt tacksamt att lacka med, precis som resten av Vintage Vixen-lacken jag har testat hittills. Det flöt ut fint över nageln och var täckande i två lager. Jag använde Orly ridgefiller som underlack och Orly sec n' dry som överlack.

In English: I had a mini-poll on Purity's facebook page the other day about which polish I should use on my nails next. The oppinions were different, though, so I grabbed one of the four I was choosing from randomly - Ingrid from China Glaze Vintage Vixen collection for fall.

Ingrid is a mid tone taupe polish which at a first glance looks pretty ordinary. If you have a closer look, however, you can see that it's chock full of teeny tiny descrete gold shimmer particles which makes it come to life and separate itself from the mass of taupe cremes. Really pretty, I love muddy polishes how unglamourous it might sound! I own four at the moment and I will probably add more to my collection in the future =)

Ingrid was a real treat to work with, just as with the rest of the Vintage Vixen polishes that I have tried on previously. It spread nicely onto the nail and was opaque in two coats. I used Orly ridgefiller as a base coat and Orly sec n' dry as a top coat.

Nagellacket Bad fairy var nog en av de mer hypade produkterna ur MAC-kollektionen Venomous Villains som släpptes här i Sverige i förra veckan. De andra två lacken, Formidable! och Mean & Green är nämligen exakta dupes på Orlys Galaxy girl och Space cadet ur Cosmic FX-kollektionen.

Bad Fairy är ett duokromt skimmerlack med ganska stora skimmerpartiklar. Basen är en rödrosa fuchsianyans, med en stark duokrom effekt där färgen skiftar över i guld och koppar i vissa vinklar och ljus. Ibland ser man bara det rosaröda, ibland bara det guldiga och ibland båda färgerna på samma gång på nageln. Urtjusigt!

Det har diskuterats om The show must go on från OPI-kollektionen Burlesque var en dupe på Bad Fairy, men nu när jag har fått jämföra dom sida vid sida så ser man att dom är syskon, men inte tvillingar. Bad fairy har större skimmerpartiklar, en lite dovare, mörkare och rödare nyans, och har dessutom en lite starkare duokrom effekt än The show must go on. Båda är jättefina och väl värda att äga, men får jag bara välja ett skulle jag nog välja Bad fairy.

Lacket var lite knepigt att måla med dock, mest för att penseln var väldigt tufsig och hade flera strån som spretade som jag var tvungen att klippa bort för att det skulle gå att ha någon kontroll över huvud taget över appliceringen, något jag blev lite besviken på eftersom MAC-lacken brukar ha bra penslar överlag. Lacket är ganska skirt, jag behövde tre lager för full täckning (vill man kan man istället göra som Heartcore-Therése och lägga ett lager över ett svart krämlack, läckert!). Trots detta är det en så vacker och speciell färg att det är värt det lilla extra besväret. Jag använde Orly ridgefiller som underlack och Orly sec n' dry som överlack.

In English: The nail polish Bad Fairy was probably one of the more hyped products from the MAC collection Venomous Villains which was released here in Sweden last week. The other two polishes, Formidable! and Mean & Green are acctually exact dupes of Orly Galaxy Girl and Space cadet from the Cosmic FX collection.

Bad Fairy is a duochrome shimmer polish with pretty large shimmer particles. The base is a reddish pink fuchsia, with a strong duochrome effect where the colour shifts to gold and copper in certain angles and lights. Sometimes you can only see the reddish pink, sometimes only the golden and sometimes both shades at the same time on the nail. Gorgeous!

It has been discussed a lot if The show must go on from the OPI collection Burlesqe was a dupe for Bad fairy, but now that I have had the opportunity to compare them side to side it's pretty clear that they are sisters, but not twins. Bad fairy has got larger shimmer particles, a less saturated, darker and more red shade, and the duochrome effect is stronger than in The show must go on. Both are gorgeous and well worth to own, but if I could only pick one I'd say Bad fairy.

The polish was a bit of a hassle to use though, mostly because of the fact that the brush was uneaven with a lot of stray hairs that I had to cut off to have any control over the application, which was a bit dissapointing since the MAC polishes usually have good brushes overall. The polish is pretty sheer, I needed three coats for full coverage (you can also do like Therése at Heartcore and apply one coat on top of a black creme polish, neat!). Despite this, it's such a gorgeous and special shade that it's worth the extra trouble. I used Orly ridgefiller as a base coat and Orly sec n' dry as a top coat.

Let me entertain you är ett av dom snyggaste lacken ur OPI's Burlesque-kollektion (som nu finns att klicka hem från Transdesign!) om ni frågar mig. Jag som inte brukar vara ett speciellt stort fan av skimmerlack är tokförtjust i det här glittriga, skimriga, fuchsiarosa jelly-lacket. Mina bilder gör det inte rättvisa, det var sjukt svårt att fånga färgen och framförallt skimmer och mikroglitter som gömmer sig i det, men jag gjorde mitt bästa. Sista bilden är tagen i direkt solljus vilket ger en uppfattning om hur vackert lacket gnistrar, men det här är definitivt en färg som måste upplevas på riktigt!

Formulan på detta lack lever absolut upp till OPI's höga standard, flyter ut fint över nageln och täckte i två lager. Eftersom det är ett lack med lite jelly-finish så kan man ana min nagelkant genom lacket på bilderna, det är något som syns betydligt mindre i verkligheten och inte direkt något som stör mig. Jag använde Nubar Foundation som underlack och Nubar Diamont som överlack.

In English: Let me entertain you is one of the prettiest polishes from the OPI Burlesque collection (which is now available at Transdesign!) if you ask me. I'm not usually a huge fan of shimmer polishes, but I adore this glittery, shimmery, fuchsia pink jelly polish. My pictures doesn't do it any justice, it was really hard to capture the colour and all the shimmer and micro glitter that hides within it, but I did my best. The last picture is taken in direct sunlight which might give you a clue about how beautiful it sparkles, but this is definately a shade that must be seen in real life!

The formula of this polish lives up to the high OPI standard, it spreads nicely onto the nail and was opaque in two coats. Since it has a bit of a jelly finish, you can see my nail line through the polish in pictures, something that's not as obvoius in real life and doesn't really bother me at all. I used Nubar Foundation as a base coat and Nubar Diamont as a top coat.

Brunröda skimmerlack har aldrig varit något som fallit mig på läppen, fram tills jag stötte på Foxy ur China Glazes höstkollektion Vintage Vixen. Lacket drar lite mot orange/koppar och har ett fantastiskt djup, vilket gör att det skiljer sig ur mängden tråk-lack där ute.

Lacket är aningen mer orange i flaskan än vad det blir på nageln, något som inte gör så mycket för min del. Det här är ett typiskt lack som ser ut att glöda innifrån, det har färgen av röda höstlöv och är ett typiskt höst-mysigt lack som passar perfekt på mina naglar just nu. Nyansen är väldigt smickrande mot min hudton och jag tror att det här är ett lack som faller många i smaken - det är riktigt foxy!

Två lager krävdes för full täckning, formulan var trevlig att lacka med precis som med resten av lacken jag har testat ur den här kollektionen. Jag använde Nubar Foundation som underlack och Nubar Diamont som överlack.

In English: Brownish red shimmer polishes have never been one of my favourite shades, until I laid my eyes on Foxy from the China Glaze Vintage Vixen collection for fall. The polish leans somewhat towards orange/copper and has got an incredible depth, which makes it stand out from the crowd of boring brown red shades out there.

The polish is a tad more orange in the bottle than on the nail, which doesn't bother me that much. This is a typical polish that looks like it's glowing from within, it has got the shade of red fall leaves on the trees and is a perfect cozy polish for fall that rocks my socks on my nails right now. The shade is very flattering against my skintone and I think this is a polish that suits almost everyone - it's really foxy!

I needed two coats for full coverage, the formula was nice to work with just as with the rest of the polishes I've tried from this collection. I used Nubar Foundation as a base coat and Nubar Diamont as a top coat.

Lunar Eclipse är ett av de spektakulära Cosmic FX-lacken som Orly släppte i slutet av sommaren, och är det andra att testas av de tre jag beställde hem från kollektionen.

Lunar Eclipse är ett mörkblått lack fullspäckat med blått skimmer. I vissa ljus så skiftar skimret över till lila/magentatonat, men tyvärr lyckades jag inte fånga det på bild. Det här är nog lätt mitt favoritlack ur den här kollektionen, det är sjukt läckert och ser ut som att det nästan glöder inifrån - som en stjärnspäckad natthimmel! Formulan var lite halvknepig att få jämn dock, men med lite noggrannhet och pill så blev det till slut ett jämnt och fint resultat.

Jag lackade tre lager för att få full täckning, baslacket jag använde var Orly ridgefiller och Orly Sec n' dry till överlack.

In English: Lunar Eclipse is one of the spectacular Cosmic FX polishes that Orly released at the end of the summer, and it's the second I've tried out from the three I ordered from the collection.

Lunar Eclipse is a dark blue polish chock full of blue shimmer. In some lights, the shimmer shifts to a purple/magenta shade, but unfortunally I wasn't able to catch it in pictures. This is easily my favourite from this collection, it's insanely pretty and looks like it's lit from within - like a starry night sky! The formula was a bit tricky to get even though, but with a bit of patience I finally got a nice and even result.

I did three coats for full coverage, I used Orly ridgefiller as a base coat and Orly Sec n' dry as a top coat.

Här kommer bilder på ett lack som släpptes för nästan exakt två år sedan, men som jag inte kom mig för att klicka hem förrän i somras - Wagon Trail från China Glaze-kollektionen Rodeo Diva.

Wagon Trail ser nästan svart ut vid en första anblick, det är först när ljuset faller på det som det blir riktigt intressant. Det har en svart bas med grönguldigt skimmer, och tittar man riktigt noga i direkt solljus så ser man små skimmerpartiklar i grönt, guld och orange. Ett otroligt vackert och mångsidigt lack som passar till verkligen allt - det här borde alla som gillar mörka lackfärger ha i sin samling!

Formulan var bra, det var lättlackat och krävde endast två lager för full täckning. Jag använde Orly ridgefiller som underlack och Orly sec n' dry som överlack.

In English: Here are some pictures of a polish that was released almost exactly two years ago, but for some reason  I waited to order it until this summer - Wagon Tral from China Glaze collection Rodeo Diva.

Wagon trail looks almost black at a first glance, it's not until the light hits it that it becomes really interesting. It has got a black base with green gold shimmer, and if you look close enough in direct sunlight, you can also see small shimmer particles in green, gold and orange. An incredible beautiful and versatile polish that goes well with everything - everyone who's a fan of dark polishes should have this in their collection!

The formula was great, it was easy to apply and only needed two coats for full coverage. I used Orly ridgefiller as a base coat and Orly sec n' dry as a top coat.

Ett lack som många av er har varit nyfikna på att kika närmare på ur OPIs vinterkollektion Burlesque är det röda duochromelacket The show must go on.

Det har gjorts liknelser mellan The show must go on och MAC-lacket Bad Fairy, som släpps med Venomous Villains-kollektionen den 8:e oktober. Tyvärr kan jag inte göra någon färgjämförelse än eftersom jag inte har sett Bad Fairy i verkligheten än, men om man tittar på swatchbilder hos All Lacquered up och Temptalia så ser man stora likheter mellan de två. Båda lacken har ganska stora skimmerpartiklar, där bastonen är en kall magentatonad rosa. I vissa ljus och vinklar får lacken en rödguldig duokrom ton, och håller man nageln i en speciell vinkel mot ljuset kan man se alla färgerna på en gång. Ett jättefint och orginellt lack som är väl värt att äga, oavsett om du väljer OPIs eller MACs version - dock verkar det vara så att Bad Fairy verkar ha en lite starkare duokrom effekt. Jag återkommer med en färgjämförelse så fort Venomous Villains har kommit upp i de svenska diskarna!

In English: A polish that many of you have been curious to have a closer look at from the OPI winter collection Burlesque is the red duochrome polish The show must go on.

There have been a lot of speculation lately of The show must go on is a dupe for MAC Baid fairy, released with the Venomous Villains collection. Unfortunally, I can't do a comparison at the moment since I haven't seen Bad Fairy in real life yet (VV is released on October 8th here in Sweden), but if you look at swatch pictures at All Lacquered up and Temptalia, you can see the similarity between the two. Both polishes contain pretty big shimmer particles, where the base tone is a cool magenta pink. In some lights and angles, the polishes flashes a golden red tone, and if you hold your nail in a certain angle against the light source, you can see all colours at once. A really pretty and original shade well worth owning, regardless if you choose the OPI or MAC version - allthough, Bad Fairy seem to have a bit more prominent duochrome effect. I'll do a side by side comparison as soon as Venomous Villains have launched at the Swedish counters!

The show must go on needed three coats for full coverage, but the formula was great to work with, the polish spread evenly onto my nail and it dried pretty quickly. I used Nubar Foundation base as a base coat and Nubar Diamont as a top coat. Unfortunally, the duochrome effect is pretty difficult to catch in pictures, especially in bad lightning, but I did my best!

Jag har fått dille på bruna skimmerlack just nu, det är så jäkla snyggt! Höstigt och klassiskt utan att för den delen vara tråkigt =) När jag lackade om naglarna sist föll valet på skimmerlacket Goin' my way? från China Glazes höstkollektion Vintage Vixen.

Goin' my way? är ett varmt mellanbrunt skimmerlack som får en lite guldig/bronsig nyans när ljuset faller på. Trots att jag vanligtvis faller för krämlack framför skimmerlack så kan jag inte sluta beundra mina naglar när jag bär det här lacket, det är så fint! Kanske det är så att lite mer neutrala färger blir mer intressanta om man tillsätter lite skimmer?

Jag lackade tre lager, två lager hade nog gått bra med men nagelkanten lyste igenom lite när jag höll upp handen mot ljuset så jag drog på ett lager till, vilket förde djupet i det här lacket till ytterligare en nivå. Jag använde Orly ridgefiller som underlack och Orly sec n' dry som överlack.

In English: I'm all about brown shimmer polishes at the moment, it's gorgeous! Perfect for fall and classic without getting boring for that matter =) When I redid my nails I chose the shimmer polish Goin' my way? from the China Glaze collection for fall, Vintage Vixen.

Goin' my way? is a warm mid-brown shimmer polish that flashes bronze/gold when light hits it. Allthough I usually prefer cremes before shimmers, I can't stop admiring my nails when I wear this shade, it's so pretty! Maybe it's because neutral shades become more interesting when you add some shimmer?

I did three coats, two coats would probably have worked too but the nail line was shining through a bit when I held up my hand against the light so I did another layer, which brought the depth in this polish to another level. I used Orly ridgefiller as a base coat and Orly sec n' dry as a top coat.

Tease-y does it från OPI's vinterkollektion Burlesque var lacket jag valde att få en manikyr med på pressvisningen i tisdags. Tease-y does it är ett brunt lack med skimmer som gnistrar i vinrött och guld beroende på hur ljuset faller på det, och det fångade direkt min uppmärksamhet när jag såg alla lacken på bordet.

Man ser direkt att det här är en proffsmanikyr - lacket går galet nära nagelbanden utan att snudda dom och linjen är perfekt, jag önskar att jag också kunde lacka mina naglar så här! Manikyristen lackade två lager plus överlack på mig, jag lyckades sabba det lite på vägen hem så jag la på ytterligare ett lager lack och ett lager överlack när jag kom hem för att fräscha upp det lite. Det här lacket är helt fantastiskt, vilket djup det har! Det liknar inget jag har i min samling eller ens har sett tidigare, det här är defenitivt ett av mina favoritlack ur den här kollektionen. Gillar du mörka lack är det här ett måste!

In English: Tease-y does it from the OPI winter collection Burlesque was the polish I chose to get a manicure with at the press event this tuesday. Tease-y does it is a brown polish with shimmer that gnisters in burgundy and gold, depending on how the light hits it, and it immideately caught my attention when I saw all of the polishes on the table.

You can see that this is a professional manicure - the polish is applied really close to the cuticles without touching them and the line is perfect, I wish I could do my nails like this! The manicurist did two coats plus top coat, I managed to wreck it a bit on the way home so I applied another coat and a top coat when I got home to freshen it up a bit. This is such an amazing polish, it has got a crazy depth! It doesn't look like anything else I have in my collection or have seen before, as a matter of fact. This is one of my favourites from this collection, if you like vampy polishes this is a must-have!

Jag hade himla svårt att välja lack nu när det var dags att lacka om - Nfu Oh's #51 hade suttit på mina naglar i nästan en vecka innan jag kom mig för att byta ut det mot något annat. Jag kände för något mörkt och höstigt men samtidigt lite flashigt, så valet föll på ett lack ur Orlys cosmic fx-kollektion - Galaxy Girl.

Galaxy Girl är ett lack med brunrödrosa bas och fullspäckat med skimmer i rosa, turkos, lila och silver. Olika färger på skimret träder fram beroende på ur vilken vinkel man ser lacket, men mest framträdande är nog det turkosa skimret. I svagt ljus ser lacket mörkt och nästan brunsvart ut, men i dagsljus och när solen faller på träder allt skimmer och miniglitter fram. Det här är det första lacket jag testar från Orly, och jag är väldigt nöjd med formula och torktid - dessutom är korken väldigt greppvänlig och trevlig att hålla i. Jag behövde tre lager för full täckning, och jag toppade det med ett lager Nubar Diamont.

In English: I had such a hard time to choose polish when it was time to redo my manicure - I wore Nfu Oh #51 for almost a week before I decided to replace it. I felt like something dark and vampy but at the same time a bit flashy, so I chose one of the Orly cosmic fx polishes - Galaxy girl.

Galaxy Girl is a polish with a brown/red/pink base and is chock full of pink, turquoise, purple and silver shimmer particles. Different colours of the shimmer comes out in different angles, but the turquoise is most noticeable. In dim lightning, the polish looks almost like a brownish black, but in daylight and in direct sunlight, all of the shimmer and micro glitter comes out. This is the first Orly polish I've tried out, and I'm very happy with the formula and drying time - plus that the cork is really comfortable to hold in your hand. I needed three coats for full coverage, and I topped it with a coat of Nubar Diamont.

Det har riktigt kliat i fingrarna efter att få lacka med Nfu Oh-lacken. Problemet var bara vilket jag skulle välja först, alla är så sjukt fina! Det slutade med att jag stack ner handen i lådan och tog ett lack på måfå, och valet blev det lila #51.

#51 har en lila jellybas med multifärgade flakepartiklar som framförallt gnistrar i rosa i guld, men beroende på hur ljuset faller på det även gnistrar i grönt och turkost ur vissa vinklar. Det är ganska skirt och är ganska tjockt på grund av de ganska otympliga flakepartiklarna, så det gäller att vara tålmodig och lacka så tunna lager som möjligt för att det ska ha någon chans att torka.

Efter 3 lager hade jag nästan full täckning, så jag nöjde mig med det även fast det nog hade blivit ännu mer täckande med ytterligare ett lager. Trots att lacket är lite småknepigt att måla med så är jag hemskt förtjust i det, det gnistrar och glittrar som tusan på naglarna! Jag toppade med ett lager Nubar Diamont för snabbare torktid och extra glans.

In English: My fingers have itched so bad for using the Nfu Oh polishes. My only problem was to choose which one to begin with, they are all equally beautiful! I ended up with reaching into the box and picking one at random, and the one I picked was purple #51.

#51 has got a purple jelly base with multi coloured flakies that mostly flashes pink and gold, but depending on how the light hits it it also flashes in green and turquoise from some angles. It's pretty sheer and pretty thick due to the bulky flakes, so you need to be patient and paint as thin coats as possible for getting a somewhat decent drying time.

After 3 coats I had almost reached full coverage, so I settled with that even though I had gotten even better coverage with another coat. Despite the tricky formula, I'm really fond of this polish, it gnisters and glimmers like crazy! I topped it with a coat of Nubar Diamont for a faster drying time and extra shine.

Sista lacket att testas från Zoyas sparkle-kollektion är det gröna Ivanka. I flaskan ser Ivanka och den turkosa systern Charla rätt lika ut, men när de kommer på nageln så ser man verkligen att det är två helt olika färger.

Ivanka är ett lätt kalltonat mediummörkt grönt lack fullspäckat med varmt grönt skimmer och mikroglitter. Färgen påminner mig om sedlarna i Joakim von Ankas pengabinge! Jag upplever att Ivanka är det glittrigaste och frostigaste av de tre sparkle-lack jag har testat, och lacket liknar inget annat som jag har i min samling. Gillar du gröna lack är Ivanka ett måste! Tre lager krävdes för full täckning, något som inte stör mig nämnvärt mycket eftersom formulan är fantastisk, lacket flyter ut fint över nageln och det torkar snabbt. Jag toppade med ett lager snabbtorkande överlack, Nubar Diamont.

In English: The last polish to be tried on from the Zoya sparkle collection is green Ivanka. In the bottle, Ivanka and her turquoise sister Charla look pretty similar, but once on the nail, you can see that there's a huge difference in colour.

Ivanka is a slightly cool toned medium green polish chock full of warm green shimmer and micro glitter. The shade reminds me of the dollar bills in Scrooge McDuck's money bin! In my opinion, Ivanka is the most glittery and frosty of the three sparkle polishes I've tried, and the polish doesn't look like anything else that I have in my collection. If you like green polishes, Ivanka is a must-have! I needed three coats for full coverage, which doesn't bother me that much since the formula is fantastic, the polish flows onto the nail nicely and it dries quickly. I topped it with a coat of fast dry top coat, Nubar Diamont.

Jag har så himla många otestade nagellack hemma nu eftersom jag inte har fått bära nagellack på mitt sommarjobb, så jag lackar mig fortfarande igenom sommarlacken fastän det nästan är höst. Dagens val föll på det underbart vackra Mimi från Zoyas sparkle-kollektion som släpptes i början av sommaren.

Mimi är ett mellanmörkt lila lack med blå undertoner som är fullspäckat med små, små glitter-och skimmerpartiklar i lila och rosa. Som vanligt med Zoyas lack är det helt kanon att lacka med, det flyter ut fint över nageln och torkar snabbt. Dock är det ganska skirt för att skimmerpartiklarna ska komma fram så mycket som möjligt, så jag behövde tre lager för full täckning av naglarna. Jag toppade med ett lager Nubar Diamont. Lacket är aningen varmare i verkligheten än på bild, lila lack blir alltid mer blåtonade på bild av någon anledning.

In English: I have a lot of untested polishes at home right now since I wasn't allowed to wear polish at my summer holiday work, so I'm still working my way through the summer polishes allthough fall is coming. Today's choice was the gorgeous Mimi from the Zoya sparkle collection that was released early this summer.

Mimi is a middle toned purple with blue undertones that's chock full of tiny glitter and shimmer particles in purple and pink. As per usual with Zoya polishes, the formula is fantastic. It flows nicely onto the nail and dries fast. It's pretty sheer though to allow the simmer and glitter shine through, so I needed three coats for full coverage. I topped it with a coat of Nubar Diamont. The colour is a tad warmer in real life, purple polishes always turn out cooler in pictures than in real life, for some reason.

Nagellacksmärket Essie är inte kända för att ha speciellt spektakulära färger i sitt sortiment, men å andra sidan har deras lack en helt fantastisk formula. Då och då gör dom undantag och tillverkar riktigt läckra färger, som det gröna Pretty edgy som släpptes med sommarkollektionen i år.

Pretty edgy är ett mediumtonat, lite dammigt grönt krämlack som drar aningen mot det kalla hållet. Det är inte gräsgrönt utan snarare mer biljardbordsgrönt, som en aningen grönare och ljusare version av OPI jade is the new black. Det är en väldigt bärbar nyans av klargrönt skulle jag säga! In English: Nail polish brand Essie isn't famous for having the most spectacular shades in their range, but on the other hand, they do have an awesome formula. Every now and then, they make an exception and produce really gorgeous and unique shades, like Pretty edgy from this summer's collection.

Pretty edgy is a medium, slightly dusty green creme that leans somewhat towards the cool edge of the green specktra. It's not grass green but rather pool table green, like a slightly greener and lighter version of OPI jade is the new black. It's a very wearable shade of green if you ask me! The polish is great to paint with, two coats provide good coverage and it flows nicely over the nail. I topped it with a coat of fast dry top coat, Nubar Diamont.

Jag tänkte visa er det sista av de fyra neonlacken jag köpte ur China Glazes sommarkollektion Poolside som ett sista ryck att försöka hålla igång sommaren ytterligare lite till. Jag har burit det här lacket på tånaglarna under en stor del av sommaren men har inte kommit mig för att lacka fingernaglarna med det förrän nu eftersom jag inte har fått bära lack på mitt sommarjobb.

Pool Party är ett galet neonrosa lack som drar mot det varma hållet. Det är djupt, intensivt och helt galet snyggt! Tyvärr är det (som de flesta neonlack) väldigt svårt att fånga på bild, det är mycket mer intensivt i verkligheten. Det här är det poolsidelack som jag upplever har bäst formula av de jag har testat - formulan är lagom tjock, lättapplicerad, och två lager täcker perfekt. Jag toppade med ett lager snabbtorkande överlack eftersom neonlack torkar halvmatta.

In English: I thought I'd show you the last of the four polishes I got from China Glaze's summer collection Poolside as a last attempt to keep the summer alive for a little bit longer. I've been wearing this polish on my toenails a lot this summer, but haven't gotten around to wear it on my tips until now since I wasn't allowed to wear nail polish at my summer work place.

Pool Party is a crazy neon pink polish that lean towards the warmer end of the pink specktra. It's deep, intensive and awesome! Unfortunally, the colour is (like most other neons) pretty hard to catch in pictures, it's much more intense in real live. It's the poolside polish that, in my experience, have the best formula from the ones that I have tried - the formula is just thick enough, easy to apply and opaque in two coats. I topped it with a coat of fast dry top coat since neons dry semi matte.

Det tredje att testas av fyra neonlack jag beställde ur China Glazes sommarkollektion Poolside är det neongröna Kiwi coolada. Kiwi coolada är ingen färg för den blyge - den är riktigt knallig och sticker verkligen ut. Dock är det riktigt svårt att fånga på bild, jag har gjort mitt bästa men det är djupare i färgen i verkligheten.

Formulan på det här lacket var betydligt bättre än hos Yellow polka dot bikini. Tre lager gav bra täckning, om än med aningen antydan till VNL (visible nail line), och torktiden var snabb. Eftersom det torkar till en halvmatt finish toppade jag det med ett lager snabbtorkande överlack, Nubar diamont.

In English: The third to try out out of four neon polishes that I ordered from the China Glaze summer collection Poolside is neon green Kiwi coolada. Kiwi coolada is not a shade for the shy - it's a real bolt of colour that catches the eye! It's really hard to photograph though, I did my best but the colour is a bit more saturated in real life.

The formula of this polish was better than with Yellow polka dot bikini. Three coats provided good coverage, allthough with a small hint of VNL (visible nail line), and the drying time was good. Since it dries into a semi-matte finish, I topped it with a coat of fast dry top coat, Nubar diamont.

Jag har fastnat för gula och orange nagellack på senaste tiden, senast att pryda mina naglar är det neongula Yellow polka dot bikini från China Glazes sommarkollektion Poolside.

Som bekant så brukar varken gula lack eller neonlack tillhöra skaran av lack med bra formula, vilket gör Yellow polka dot bikini ganska svårlackat. Det är tjockt, skirt, trådigt och svårt att få jämt på samma gång, så jag behövde fyra lager för att få en jämn yta och då är det fortfarande en aning transparent vid nageltipparna. Dock torkar det snabbt, så det gör inte så mycket att jag behöver så många lager, det jag stör mig mest på är att det är svårt att få det opakt. Nästa gång jag använder det här kommer jag nog att baslacka med ett vitt lack för att få ett mer opakt resultat med färre lager av Yellow polka dot bikini. Eftersom det här lacket är ett neonlack så torkar det halvmatt, så jag har toppat det med ett lager snabbtorkande överlack, Nubar Diamont.

Vad tycker ni om neonlack, läckert eller gräsligt?

In English: I've been hooked on yellow and orange polishes lately, the latest polish to decorate my nails is the neon yellow Yellow polka dot bikini from the China Glaze summer collection Poolside.

As you might know, neither yellow polishes or neons are famous for having a good formula, which makes Yellow polka dot bikini pretty hard to work with. It's thick, sheer, thready and hard to get even all at once, so I needed four coats to get an even surface and it's still a bit transparent at the tips of my nails. It does dry pretty quick though, so the many coats aren't a really a problem, what grinds my gears is that it's difficult to get an opaque result. I'll use a white polish as a base the next time I use this polish to get a more opaque result with fewer coats of Yellow polka dot bikini. Since this is a a neon polish, it dries semi-matte, so I've topped it with a coat of fast dry top coat, Nubar Diamont.

What do you think of neon polishes, hot or not?

En riktig sommarfärg till naglarna är gult, det är så snyggt mot solbrända händer! En ny favoritnyans är gult som drar lite mot orange - min mamma tycker det ser ut som cheddarost, pojkvännen säger att det är ferarrigult - som till exempel krämlacket The "it" color från OPI som släpptes förra sommaren.

Som med de flesta gula lack så är det inte jättekul att lacka med, det är rätt segt och behöver några lager för att få en jämn färg, men överlag så är det lättare att lacka med än andra gula lack jag har testat. Tre lager behövdes för att få full täckning, och jag toppade det med dom sista dropparna i min flaska Seche Vite, till nästa manikyr blir det till att testa min nya flaska snabbtorkande överlack, nämligen Diamont från Nubar. Någon som har testat det?

In English: A really summery shade for the nails is yellow, it looks great against tanned hands! A new favourite shade of mine is yellow that leans somewhat towards orange - my mum think it looks like cheddar cheese, my boyfriend calls it ferrari yellow - like the creme polish The "it" cllor from OPI that was released last summer.

As with most yellow polishes, it's not extremely nice to work with. It's pretty thick and goopy and needs a couple of layers to get it even, but overall it's better to paint with than other yellow polishes I've tried. I needed three coats for full coverage, and I topped it with the last drops of my bottle of Seche Vite, for my next manicure I will try a new bottle of fast dry top coat, Nubar Diamont. Has anyone tried that one?

Ett lack det har pratats mycket om under våren och försommaren är det så kallade "shrekgröna" lacket i gulgrönt. Originalet släpptes av OPI i och med premiären av filmen Shrek 3 tillsammans med 5 andra lack i kollektionen Forever After, och flera andra märken har apat efter, bland annat svenska Depend. Tyvärr släpptes inte OPI-lacken i Sverige, så det är utländska webshopar eller eBay som gäller om man vill ha tag i dessa lack.

Jag velade bra länge över om jag skulle köpa Who the Shrek are you? eller inte, jag menar, snorgulgrönt låter ju inte speciellt tilltalande på naglarna, men till slut valde jag att slå till och det är jag väldigt glad att jag gjorde nu i slutändan. Väl på naglarna är lacket en härlig vårgrön som är väldigt smickrande mot min hudton, och det är unikt i min (visserligen inte så jättestora, men ändå) lacksamling. Jag premiärlackade med det i veckan - formulan var kanon och två lager täckte perfekt, toppade gjorde jag med ett lager Seche Vite.

Vad tycker ni - är träsktroll på naglarna en hit eller miss?

In English: A polish that have been wildly discussed during this spring and early summer is the so called "shrek green" yellow-green polish. The original was released by OPI in collaboration of the makers of Shrek 3 together with 5 other polishes in the collection Forever After, and several other brands have followed with their own version, Swedish Depend is one of them. Unfortunally, these polishes were not released here in Sweden, so I had to get mine from a foreign web shop.

I debated long and well over if I should get Who the Shrek are you? or not, because booger yellow doesn't sound like a hot color for the nails, but finally I chose to get it and I'm glad I did in the end. When painted on the nails, the polish takes on a lovely spring green that looks very flattering against my skintone, and it's unique in my (quite humble, but still) polish collection. I used it for the first time earlier this week - the formula was great and two coats provided perfect coverage, and I topped it with a coat of Seche Vite.

What do you think - yay or nay for ogre green nails?

En nagellacksfärg jag har känt mig sugen på ett bra tag men inte har slagit till på förrän alldeles nyligen är taupe, även känt som gråbrunt eller greige. Jag köpte faktiskt mina två första taupe-färgade lack vid samma tillfälle, och nu har jag premiärlackat med det ena av dom - krämlacket Metro chic från Sephora by OPI.

Lacket drar mer mot grått än mot brunt och har även en gnutta lila i sig. Två lager ger perfekt täckning och lacket är hemskt trevligt att lacka med, flyter ut jämnt över nageln och torkar snabbt. Jag toppade alltihopa med ett lager snabbtorkande överlack, Seche vite, eftersom jag är lat och inte orkar vänta på att lacket ska torka av sig självt ;-)

Tyvärr finns Sephora by OPI-lacken bara att få tag på i USA, men jag hoppas på att få se dom i de europeiska Sephorabutikerna i framtiden!

In English: A nail polish colour that I've wanted to try for a while but haven't gotten a bottle of just until recently is taupe. I acctually got my two first taupe polishes at the same time, and I have finally used one of them for the first time - the creme polish Metro chic from Sephora by OPI.

The polish leans more towards grey than brown and also contain a smidgen of purple. Two coats provides perfect coverage and the polish is very nice to work with, flows evenly over the nail and dries quickly. I topped it all off with a coat of fast dry top coat, Seche vite, since I'm a lazy bum and don't have the patience to wait for the polish to dry on its own ;-)

Unfortunally, the Sephora by OPI polishes are only available in the US, but I hope to see them at the european Sephora stores in the future!
