MAC får en tillökning i sitt underlagssortiment under februari i och med kollektionen Future Face. Kul med en utökning av nyanssortimentet! Jag hade dock velat se någon nyans ljusare än 15 och gärna några NC-nyanser. Det finns många blekfisar där ute som har för ljus hy för att kunna NW/NC15! Är nyfiken på det nya pudret också, låter som en perfekt produkt för de med lite torrare hy.

In English: MAC expands their foundation range during february with the collection Future Face. It's great to see an expansion of the shade range! I would have preferred to see at least one shade lighter than 15 and some NC shades too, though. There are a lot of pale ladies (and guys!) out there who's skin are way too light to wear NW/NC15! I'm really curious about the new powder aswell, it sounds like a perfect product for those with a bit drier skin.

Jag säger bara en sak: Siahi fluidline. Gud vad snygg den är! Är även sugen på ögonskuggorna Saffron och Marvel. Har dock aldrig fattat grejen med att släppa foundations och concealers i limited edition-nyanser, jag menar, det är ju förbrukningsvaror till skillnad från t.ex. en ögonskugga som räcker i princip hur länge som helst vid normal användning.

In English: This spring, MAC launches a collection in collaboration with their Director of Makeup Artestry for India, Mickey Contractor, at selected MAC stores. Unfortunally, the collection won't reach us here in Scandinavia, which is such a pity since it contains several goodies, and I was really looking forward to it... In the US, the collection is launched exclusively at the top 22 MAC stores.

I have one thing to say: Siahi fluidline. God it's beautiful! I'm also lemming the eyeshadows Saffron and Marvel. I've never got the hang of the idea of releasling limited edition foundation and concealer shades though, I mean, they're products you're consuming a lot of, compared to i.e. an eyeshadow that will last you like forever with normal usage.

Jag är extremt förtjust i läppglansen. Egentligen skulle jag säga att dom är mer som ett flytande läppstift än ett läppglans, så pass högpigmenterade är dom. Jag tycker dom påminner om Chanels Rouge allure laque, fast krämigare och lite tunnare. Jag är sugen på flera av dessa, mest lockande är Exxxhibionist och Scandelicious. Kul att se ett turkost läppglans med, även fast det kanske inte är så bärbart!

Ögonskuggorna är jättefina och har en grymt härlig, krämig formula och hög pigmentering. De är dubbelt så stora som vanliga MAC-skuggor, vilket förklarar den högre prislappen, men eftersom man behöver jobba rätt hårt för att göra slut på en ögonskugga i normalstorlek så hade jag hellre sett mindre skuggor till ett lägre pris. Färgerna är fina men inte speciellt unika, det finns många liknande nyanser i det permanenta sortimentet. Finast och mest unika tycker jag Paparazz-she och Odalisque verkar vara.

Jag har två av skuggorna och ett läppglans hemma, jag ska hårdtesta dom så återkommer jag med swatches och omdömen inom kort!

In English: In february, MAC launches a collection inspired by peacock feathers - Peacocky. The collection presents two new products: Kissable lipcolour, a highly pigmented lipgloss, and Mega metal shadow, a creamy eyeshadow formula with metallic finish.

I'm really fond of the lipglosses. I'd rather say that they are more like a liquid lipstick than a lipgloss since they're extremely highly pigmented. They remind me of Chanel Rouge allure laques, but creamier and thinner. I'm drooling over several of these, but most interesting is Exxxhibionist and Scandelicious. It's fun to see a turquoise lipgloss aswell, even though it's not that wearable!

The eyeshadows are gorgeous and has got a lush, creamy formula and high pigmentation. They are twice the size of regular MAC eyeshadows, which explains the hihger price tag, but since you have to work quite a bit to finish a normal sized eyeshadow, I would rather have seen smaller eyeshadows at a smaller price tag. The prettiest and most unique ones seems to be Paparazz-she and Odalisque, if you ask me!

I've got two of the eyeshadows and one of the lipglosses at home, I'll put them to the test and be back with swatches and my opinions shortly!

China Glaze - Crackle collection

Fler och fler nagellacksmärken hakar på trenden med krackelerande effektlack. Först ut var svenska IsaDora, sedan hakade Barry M, Depend och lack-jätten OPI på, och nu till våren släpper även China Glaze en kollektion med krackelerande lack i olika färger.

Jag vet inte, jag känner mig lite "meh" angående den här kollektionen. Jag har två crackle-lack från IsaDora plus OPI's svarta, och även fast det är en kul grej så har jag bara använt dom en gång var. Jag kommer skippa den här kollektionen för jag känner mig inte alls sugen på fler eftersom konceptet känns lite söndertjatat på den svenska marknaden, dock tror jag att den kommer slå bättre internationellt där man inte haft tillgång till IsaDoras och Depends budgetvarianter under förra hösten.

In English: More and more polish brands jumps on the bandwagon with crackeling effect polishes. First out was Swedish IsaDora, then Barry M, Swedish Depend and the polish giant OPI did their versions, and now for spring, China Glaze are also releasing a collection with crackle polishes in different shades.

I don't' know, I feel a bit "meh" towards this collection. I have two crackle polishes from IsaDora plus the black one from OPI, and allthough it's a fun detail, I've only used them once each. I will skip this collection because I think the concept has already been done so many times before, allthough I think it will be a larger hit on the international market where you don't have the access to the IsaDora and Depend polishes as we have here in Sweden.

I think this collection will be a real hit, there are probably a polish for every taste in this collection! Jag känner lite "meh" angående den här kollektionen. Läpprodukterna är alldeles för metalliska och bruna för att det ska se smickrande ut på mig, och paint potsen verkar vara så fruktansvärt skira... Jag ska spana in pennan I get no kick och highlightingpudrena vid disken. Äger ni inte pennan Feline och en Chromagraphic-penna kan jag varmt rekommendera dessa, Feline är den svartaste svarta jag någonsin stött på och Chromagraphic-pennorna är fantastiska ögon-uppiggare om man lägger dom innanför nedre fransraden!

In English: In the beginning of 2011, MAC launches a collection that I wish had been released before new year's, Cham Pale. As with this collection, MAC will also change the release date of their collections here in Scandinavia - From now on, all collections will be launched at the 1st each month instead of the 8th. Cham Pale consists of products in warm, shimmery and glittery shades inspired by champagne.

I do feel a bit "meh" about this collection. The lip products are way too metallic and brown for my liking, and the paint pots seem to be really sheer... I'm going to check out the pncil I get no kick and the highlighting powders at the counter. If you don't own the Feline and Chromagraphic pens yet, I highly recommend taking a look at those. Feline is the blackest black I've ever seen and the Chromagraphic pencils are amazing eye brighteners when applied on the waterline!

MAC - Stylishly yours collection

Strax efter jul lanserar MAC en färgsprakande kollektion som går i lila, rosa, rött och orange med bland annat nya läppstift, pigment, en ny fluidline och cream colour bases. Tyvärr verkar det inte som att vi får den här kollektionen till skandinavien =/ Synd, jag var speciellt sugen på pigmenten, kanske får ta och se om man kan få något langat från USA... Lacken finns redan att köpa hos bland annat Transdesign och 8ty8. Jag är osäker på om lacken kommer släppas här i Sverige, någon som vet? Scrangie är en av de lackbloggare som hittills har swatchat samtliga lack. Mina ögon dras självklart först till de tre gröna lacken - Mistletoe kisses, Jolly Holly och Peace on earth, men även skira vita Frosty lockar. Jag kan inte bestämma mig för om jag tycker Party Hearty är fint eller tacky, men å andra sidan kommer man undan med många smaklösa ting på julafton som man inte skulle synas offentligt i annars så varför inte julblinga naglarna till max med? ;-)

In English: This year's holiday collection from nail polish brand China Glaze is called 'Tis is the season to be naughty and nice and is a bit larger than usual - 16 new holiday themed polishes are being launched, and it's a vast mix of cremes, shimmers and glitters. Plus, there are also several gift kits available, perfect to put under the christmas tree!

The collection is already available for purchase at Transdesign and 8ty8, among others. Scrangie is one of the nail bloggers who has swatched all of the polishes in the collection. My eyes are instantly drawn towards the three greens - Mistletoe kisses, Jolly Holly and Peace on earth, but Frosty looks pretty aswell. I can't decide whether I think that Party Hearty is pretty or tacky, but on the other hand, you can get away with wearing a lot of less tasteful things that you wouldn't be seen in otherwise on christmas, so why not blinging out your nails aswell? ;-)

MAC - MAC & Marcel Wanders: Luxe couture

Varje vinter släpper MAC en couture-kollektion med speciellt designade förpackningar (och därmed högre priser - det är förpackningarna man betalar för). Tyvärr brukar inte de här kollektionerna komma hit till Sverige, men är det någon som ska resa utomlands i vinter kanske det kan vara något att spana in? Budgetsminkmärkena börjar ta större och större plats på sminkmarknaden och hänger på de selektiva märkena i trender och produktutveckling. Wet n' Wild är ett budgetmärke som har funnits på marknaden i över 25 år och började med att sälja prisvärda nagellack. Efter att ha swatchat, klämt och känt på produkterna så imponerar helt klart ögonskuggepaletten allra mest. Skuggorna är mjuka, krämiga, högpigmenterade och glider på som smör på huden, både dom skimriga och dom matta nyanserna. Ett riktigt budgetkap med andra ord! Nagellacken verkar vara en vinnare dom med, lila Disturbia var täckande i två lager medan vinröda Under your spell krävde tre. Jag är lite besviken på eyelinern, färgen är superfin men den sitter inte på plats för fem öre, och den medföljande penseln drar snarare bort färgen än lägger på mer... Jag ska hårdtesta produkterna så återkommer jag med recensioner!

In English: The drugstore makeup brands are growing larger and larger and are catching up with the high-end brands with trends and product development. Wet n' Wild is a drugstore brand that has been on the market for over 25 years and started out by selling nail polish. I remember that I had several bottles of Wet n' wild polish when I was younger - a lime green, a navy blue and a dark purple, and the quality was top notch for their low price.

Nowadays, Wet n' wild has got a full cosmetic range with products from mascara to nail polish, to lipsticks to foundations. This fall, the range is expanded and updated with new products that Wet n' wild themselves say will have great quality in relation to the low prices.

After swatching and played around with the products, I think that the star of this collection are the eyeshadow palettes. The eyeshadows are buttery soft, creamy highly pigmented and applies nicely to the skin, both the shimmers and the mattes. A real budget catch! The nail polishes seem really good aswell, Disturbia (purple) was opaque in two coats while Under your spell (burgundy) needed three coats. I'm a bit dissapointed in the eyeliner, the colour is really pretty but it doesn't stay put at all, and the brush that comes with it peels of the colour rather than applying it... I will hard-test these products and I'll be back with reviews!

The colours look amazing in this one, I love purple eyeshadows so I will probably check this one out! =) I wonder if the lipstick Snow glitz might be a dupe for the MAC lipstick bubbles?

Åh, nagellackskitet är en av dom produkterna från julkollektionen som står högst upp på min önskelista! Cool thrillseekers pigmenten/glittren skulle inte sitta helt fel heller, softwash grey och silver fog är två av mina favoritpigment och jag har bara prover på dom... Något ni blir sugna på?

The polish kit is one of the items from the holiday collection that is on top of my wish list! Cool thrillseekers pigments/glitters would be nice to have aswell, softwash grey and silver fog are two of my favourite pigments and I only have them as samples... Anything that makes your mouths water?

Häromdagen tog vi en titt på del 1 ur MACs julkollektion A Tartan Tale. Del 2 heter Chapter 1 och består av paletter, ögonkit, läppkit, mineralizekit (kommer enbart säljas på Åhléns city i Stockholm) och borstset i sjukt, sjukt fina förpackningar. Paletterna har samma kvadratiska form som förra årets, och är prydda med skotsrutigt mönster och ett MAC-märke, och påsarna är som små miniväskor med handtag och läderdetaljer.

Åh, jag vill ha typ... allt =P Ögonskuggspaletterna som lockar mest är Dashing Lassie och Beauties play it cool, och kan tänka mig att lägga vantarna på läpp-påsen Vain & Glorious med. Jag har inte köpt något av borstkiten tidigare (de har kortare handtag än fullsize-borstarna och är maskingjorda; fullsizeborstarna är handgjorda) men nu blir jag riktigt sugen att slå till på ett på grund av de fina väskorna kiten kommer i... Plus att borstar med korta handtag är bra när man reser, så dom får plats i sminkväskan och man inte behöver ha en separat borstväska om man bara ska ha några få borstar med sig!

The palettes are the same squre ones a last year's and are decorated with tartan pattern and a MAC crest, and the bags are like small mini bags with handles and leather details.

I want like... everything =P The eyeshadow palettes that tempt me the most is Dashing Lassie and Beauties play it cool, and the lip bag Vain & Glorious doesn't look to shabby either. I haven't got any of the previous brush kits earlier (they have shorter handles than the fullsize brushes and are machine made; the fullsize brushes are hand made) but I'm really tempted to get one for the gorgeous bags... Plus, brushes with short handles are great for travelling so that you can fit them into your makeupbag without having to carry a brush roll if you only want to bring a few brushes!

MAC - A Tartan Tale collection (Colour)

I november kommer MACs årliga gigantiska julkollektion upp i diskarna. I år heter kollektionen A Tartan Tale och har hämtat inspiration från Skotska klanmönster, men även från punk-klädernas rutiga mönster. Något som lockar er? Jag älskar julkollektionerna, MAC brukar alltid lyckas pricka in flera fullträffar. Själv tänker jag nog framförallt spana in mig på pearlglide-pennorna och köpa minst en backup på Undercurrent, som är en av mina favoritpennor!

In English: This november, MAC's annual huge holiday collection hits the counters. This year, the collection is called A Tartan Tale and have gathered inspiration from Scottish clan patterns, but also from the tartan patterns on punk clothing. The containts is a mix of classic and rebellic shades, patterns and finishes. Since the holiday collection is huge, it's divided into four parts - the first is the "main" collection with single eyeshadows, lipglosses, lipsticks, pencils, blushes, pigments and nail polishes.

Do you want anything from this part of the collection? I love the holiday collections, MAC always seem to manage to include several must-haves. I'll definately look into the pearlglide pencils and get at least one backup of Undercurrent, it's one of my favourite pencils!

Shiseido hösten 2010

När vi var i Riga fick vi ta en smygtitt på Shiseidos höstlook. Shiseido har funnits i över 100 år och grundades i Japan, där det från början var ett västerländskt apotek. Numera är Shiseido ett av världens ledande skönhetsmärken med konceptet att samtliga produkter, både smink och hudvårdsprodukter, i utbudet är hudvårdande.

Höstkollektionen 2010 består av två primers, mascarabas, eyeliner, volymmascara, läppstift, concealer och ögonskuggstrios, och har utvecklats av Shiseidos Artistic director Dick Page. Jag har testat två produkter ur höstkollektionen och är riktigt imponerad av båda två hittills: skuggtrion Strata - ögonskuggorna är helt fantastiskt krämiga och pigmenterade, och det är en riktigt bra färgsammansättning med två bruna skuggor och en highlighter - och concealern - den smälter i princip in huden, och fungerar lika bra för att täcka mörka cirklar under ögonen som till att få röda blemmor att försvinna spårlöst.

Recensioner och lite mer info om både concealern och ögonskuggspaletten kommer inom de närmaste veckorna. Höstkollektionen finns redan uppe i diskarna, har ni hunnit spana in några favoriter än?

In English: When we were in Riga, we got a sneak peek at Shiseido's collection for fall. Shiseido was founded over 100 years ago and was an western pharmacy in Japan to begin with. Today, Shiseido is one of the leading makeup brands in the world with a concept where all products in their range, both makeup and skincare, are caring for the skin.

The fall collection 2010 consists of two primers, a mascara base, eyeliner, volume mascara, lipstick, concealer and eyeshadow trios, and has been developed by Shisheido's Artistic director Dick Page. The eyeshadows are inspired by photographs of different buildings, landscapes and natural phenomenons, like the roof of an opera building, a bedroom and a winter landscape. I've tried out two of the products from the fall collection and I'm really impressed by both of them so far: eyeshadow trio Strata - the eyeshadows are incredibly creamy and pigmented, and it's such a versatile combination of colours with two shades of brown and a highlighter - and the concealer - it becomes one with your skin, and works just as well to cover dark circles under your eyes as for spot coverage.

I'll post reviews and more info about the eyeshadow palette and the concealer in the next couple of weeks. The fall collection is up for sale at Shiseido counters, have you tried any of the products yet?

Eyeko cream extra glow

Har ni testat krämen Eyeko cream från det Londonbaserade sminkmärket Eyeko? Originalversionen är en 3-i-1-kräm som fungerar både som hudkräm, ögonkräm och highlighter, och innehåller ljusreflekterande partiklar som ger ett byggbart varmt glow till huden. Nu släpper Eyeko en limited edition-version av krämen med extra mycket skimmer i en lite kallare ton än originalet.

Tyvärr finns det som bekant ingen återförsäljare av Urban Decay här i Sverige, så vill man ha tag på den här dyrgripen är det USA-langning eller eBay som gäller. Jag hade gärna lagt vantarna på både den här paletten och de tidigare upplagorna (speciellt Alice-paletten lockade enormt mycket), kanske ska man göra ett försök att få den langad från USA den här gången. Vad tycker ni om den här paletten, hiss eller diss?

In English: For the holidays, Urban Decay launches their third palette in the book of shadows series, which this time is a celebration to the city of New York. The palette contains 16 eyeshadows, two mini eye pencils and one mini eyeshadow primer potion.

Unfortunally, there are no Urban Decay retailers here in Sweden, so if you want one of these babies, you need to get a CP from the US or shop on eBay. I would have loved to own both this and the previous books (especially the Alice palette), maybe I should try to get this CP'ed from the US this time. What do you think of this palette, yay or nay?

Jag är superförtjust i dom här nya hylsorna på läppstiften, dom ser riktigt lyxiga ut! Speciellt mumsiga ser Perpetual flame, Unlimited och Overtime ut att vara. Ska bli spännande att få testa foundation och concealer med, speciellt foundationen låter intressant för min oljebenägna blandhy. Gillar speciellt pumpflaskan som concealern kommer i, hygieniskt och praktiskt!

I'm really fond of the new lipstick packaging, they look really luxurious! I especially love the look of Perpetual flame, Unlimited and Overtime. I'm looking forward to try out the new concealer and foundation aswell, the foundation formula sounds fab for my oil prone combination skin. I especially like the pump bottle that the concealer comes in, hygienic and practical!
